Was reading Genesis 23, when Abraham was deciding a land to bury his wife. I was interested on the odd negotiations when he and Ephron the Hittite, I mean Ephron offered him for free, but Abraham declined but instead he asked for a price.

Later I learned that all those negotiations was part of the ancient oriental bargaining in the Middle East, the so called "Oral Contract".
Curious, I then searched on oral contract and got a nice case study on the 1984 Pennzoil vs Texaco through the Getty's oil deal.
It's scary that a simple oral contract would cost more than $11 billion and took about 3 years to complete the case.
